2 sprouts

The mini garden has 2 pots that have sprouting plants. The first pot has short stems with two leaves and the second pot has a long stem and one leaf. I'm not putting the music on as much but I am watering it 1-2 times a day depending on how dry they are.

Sprouts

So I am recording for yesterday AND for today.

Yesterday, I found growth in one of the pots. Just tiny green sprouts though... The rest are just about to spark up to the top of the surface I think. I am still randomly putting on music.

Today, I put Wicked (the play) music on. I hope it likes Broadway music cause I sure do! Maybe tommorrow I will put some educational songs on.

I wonder if reading to your plants make a diffrence.

Musical Herbs

For the past few days we have been getting really good weather. A little chilly at some times but very nice. Our mini garden is doing okay, but I can't find any improvment. I decided to turn some Enya on and put my ear peices to the ground so they could hear it. I hope the sound level is high enough. I also hope I'm not going crazy, cause really plants listening to music? Well, I'm doing it anyway. I have already played it for about 26 songs.

Herb Mini Garden

Today I have decided to tell you about our Mini Garden. We had a kit with seeds (Basil, Parsley, Thyme, Cilantro, and Chives) and cups to put them in. We started in March 22, 2009. But so far I haven't found any growth. The picture on the left is of Chesapeake bay.

Chesapeake Bay Foundation

I was researching the Chesapeake Bay because of the dieing Eco system. I found that people are trying to save it. The only things I saw that could help is to make the fishing people use bamboo rafts. Then they could paddle instead of use boats that pollute. I thought of regular rafts too but they are made of plastic and rubber, which is not good for the inviroment. I also thought of farming fish in fish hatcherys. Fish hatcherys are where they breed fish. Although, I am not sure how far it is to eat the fish in the hatcherys either...
